On a cold and very rainy October 21st, Team Brillo set out to donate a day worth of labor to help build a new home for SPC Jason M. Schulz in Eagle, Wisconsin. Army SPC Schulz was returning from a vehicle recovery mission in November 2007 when the Salvage and Recovery Wrecker he was riding in struck an IED in Mosul, Iraq. The blast ripped through the door on the right side of the truck, hitting the location where Jason was seated, resulting in the loss of both of his legs.
One day turned into two and Brillo is proud to have donated over 200 hours of labor to this worthy cause. For more information on Homes for Our Troops, please visit this link.
On December 11, 2009, Bob Sebastian (right) was presented with one of four 2009 President’s Awards, created to recognize members of the Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council who’ve demonstrated an outstanding commitment to community, education, and support of the association’s goals.
